CONSULTANT OPPORTUNITY | Cape York Tourism Information Strategy
The Torres Cape Indigenous Council Alliance (TCICA) invites expressions of interest from an experienced consultant or small specialist practice to develop the Cape York Tourism Information Strategy.
The Strategy will establish a coordinated approach to tourism information and wayfinding across Cape York while recognising the distinct identity, cultural authority and priorities of individual communities.
The consultant will lead the project’s research, targeted engagement, strategic analysis and preparation of a practical regional strategy and implementation plan.
This is a focused consultancy with active support from TCICA and its member councils. TCICA will facilitate council and stakeholder introductions, provide relevant background material, assist with engagement and travel coordination, and support timely review and decision-making.
The opportunity may suit an experienced independent consultant or small practice with expertise in:
- tourism or destination planning
- visitor information and wayfinding
- regional or economic development
- stakeholder and community engagement
- strategy development and implementation planning
Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Traditional Owners and remote or regional councils will be highly regarded.
Consultancy value: Up to $55,000 excluding GST
